The Power of Love
Google the word “love” and the results will pull up over one billion poems, quotes, songs, books, relationship tips, dating services, jewelry and clothing lines, and so much more. It seems as if love is in everything and everyone. The third and greatest of the Divine Virtues defined by St. Paul, love is believed to have spiritual origins. A basic emotion, love gives us the power to trust others, be loyal, and even risk our life.
During this most amorous of months, as you shop for beautiful gifts and plan for a romantic night, remember that love is more than just a simple feeling you harbor towards your partner. Love has inspired artists and poets for centuries. Love gives parents the strength to put their children’s needs before their own. Love keeps alive the memories of those that have passed. Love turns acquaintances into lifelong friends.
So, though Valentine’s Day may be for lovers, don’t forget that the power of love is all around you and in many of your relationships. This year celebrate love in all its forms and fill the world with even more of that precious emotion.
Bon Voyage!
